Deirdre  O'Connor’s plays include Assisted Living (Profiles Theatre, Chicago, Jeff Award - Non Equity 2012) Jailbait (Cherry Lane).  Her plays have been produced or developed with Naked Angels, St. Ann’s Warehouse, The Lark Play Development Center, and The Playwrights Foundation, among others.  Deirdre was a 2008 Cherry Lane Mentor Project Fellow mentored by Michael Weller, and a 2008-2009 Lark Playwrights Workshop Fellow.  She is a graduate of Hampshire College, and Columbia University's MFA Playwriting program where she was the recipient of the John Golden Playwriting Award.  Deirdre won an Emmy Award for her writing on “The Electric Company” on PBS and was nominated for a Writers Guild Award for her work on the TV movie “Five.”  She lives in Brooklyn with her husband, director Dave Dalton and their sons, Dashiell and Cormac.
